MEET KYLE

How old are you?

I’ll be 21 in October.

Where do you live?

I grew up in Troy, MI, go to school in Ann Arbor, MI, and currently live in downtown Pittsburgh.

What do you do at Lockerz?

I work to make sure that SHOP orders process quickly and smoothly!

What band would you most want to see live?

I’d love to see Arty, who is an incredible trance DJ from Russia.

Any big plans for the summer?

In July, I’m seeing deadmau5, a popular Canadian DJ, in Detroit!

What do you study in college?

Neuroscience and Japanese — neither of which is as hard as it sounds.

What inspires you?

I went to the Detroit Electronic Music Festival over Memorial Day weekend with my closest friends — seeing thousands of people dance to the same music is pretty incredible.

What was your favorite question in the Dailies – and how did you answer?

The question was “What is your favorite new dance move?” There’s a new style of dance called ‘waacking’ — I think it’s really unique.

What are the top 3 songs on your playlist?

1. The Secret by Joris Voorn 2. She Gave Happiness (Arty Remix) by D-Mad 3. Dynasty (Dada Life Remix) by Kaskade.

Any Odyss gossip?

When we take him on walks through the city, he goes absolutely nuts when he sees plastic bags. It’s half adorable and half embarrassing.

MEET ADAM

What’s your office nickname?

The Lockerz team calls me A-Rob,  although I also get a lot of “Dakota Fanning” and “The Bruce Willis of Fulfillment.”

What exactly do you do at Lockerz?

I work directly with our warehouse team to make sure the SHOP experience goes smoothly for all members. I also make sure our warehouse is sending out prizes to members who redeem. Sending them out fast!

When did you join Lockerz?

It was a sunny day in October around 8:56 am.

What band would you most want to see live?

The Everyday With Rachel Ray house band or The National, whichever ticket is easier to get.

What living person do you most admire?

It’s a toss up between the cast of Grey’s Anatomy, Wolverine and my Dad

What’s your favorite shop in the world?

I’m a big fan of the thrift store myself,  but if we are talking about a shop online, I would have to say Puma.

What are you most excited to buy from Lockerz SHOP?

The Retrobrand t-shirt’s are without a doubt going into my shopping cart.  The Skullcandy headphones are also going in there!

PTZ SLIDER — greatest invention ever?

Holy Lord yes!  The PTZ Slider is going to change the whole online shopping game, the same way the iPod changed the music industry forever.

How psyched are you for letting our members into SHOP?

I think of it like this, I have unlimited invites as a Lockerz member to pass out to anyone I please so they can enjoy SHOP.  It’s going to be epic!

MEET ANTHONY

What’s your nickname?

“The Other Anthony” or A2.

Where do you live?

San Francisco Bay Area.

What do you do at Lockerz?

I am the tech lead for content and community. My team just finished building the PLAY feature on Lockerz.  We’re now working on some kick ass new features our users will get to play with very soon.

When did you join Lockerz?

October, 2009 but it feels like I’ve been a part of this team forever; it’s a great company to work for.

What are three things you’d say to describe yourself?

My laptop, my sense of humor, and my hat.  Those are three things I never leave home without.

What band would you most want to see live?

The Giraffes — they are pure awesome! Too bad they don’t play many shows on the West Coast –  I haven’t had a chance to see them live yet.

What is your favorite video on PLAY?

The Nite Fite videos are by far my faves. Some of the commercials aren’t bad either….yeah, watch those commercials.

What is your favorite book?

I hope comic books count. I have to go with Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman series.

Anthony (Lockerz designer) wants to get a new tattoo. Any ideas?

He already shares my name, but he can’t copy my tat’s.

When did you start working at Lockerz?

July 2009

What do you do at Lockerz?

I illustrate things the members will someday hopefully love; I design, and I make The Pit smell pretty.

What are three things you’d say to describe yourself?

Curious, artistic, and open-minded.

Who is your style icon?

I don’t know that I have one. My “style” seems to change a lot. But I love the look of vintage pin-ups, and I love how effortlessly beautiful Jennifer Aniston is.

What inspires you?

Passionate people.

What are the most-listened to songs on your playlist?

Lighten Up Francis (JLE dub mix)by Puscifer, Taiyed by 311, Move by Damien Marley.

What’s your favorite Daily Question and how did you answer?

“What are your favorite lyrics?” I answered with my favorite song — 3 Libras by A Perfect Circle.

Do you use the Web to procrastinate or educate?

Both! Depending on where I am and what I’m doing.

What place in the world would you most like to visit?

Anywhere where I can feel the hot sun on my skin year round, and see beautiful beach in every direction.

Which living person do you most admire?

Maynard James Keenan. And of course, my mumma.

If you could donate to any charity, what would it be?

Any foundation helping to save music and art programs in schools. When the budget drops in public schools, those classes are always the first to go. I think they are more than extracurricular — and so important for self-expression.

Meet Ryan.

When did you start working at Lockerz?

September 2009.

What do you do at Lockerz?

I work with the Marketing Team to help with fulfillment and PTZ Place. My official job title is “The Doer.” I do things that need to be done.

What are three things you’d say to describe yourself?

I read books. I’m happy that I don’t quite belong. I try to help people.

What is your favorite thing about winter?

The first three breaths of fresh air when you step outside in the cold.  Anything after that, it just gets cold.

What inspires you?

Literature. People who write honestly about their own circumstance.

E-mail or texting?

E-mail. I try to stay away from cell phones.

What are the most-listened to songs on your playlist?

Kiss the Bottle by Lucero (the Jawbreaker cover). Lungs by Townes Van Zandt. Downtown Train by Tom Waits. It’s Hard to Know by Hot Water Music.

What’s your favorite Daily Question and how did you answer?

“Who was your childhood crush?” Michelle Trachtenberg. As a kid she played this character Nona on a show, “Pete and Pete”.  I was the same age as her and I had great taste.

What is your favorite movie of all time?

The Motorcycle Diaries (but these things constantly change).

What place in the world would you most like to visit?

Afghanistan, Iran or Iceland. There is a lot of history in those areas along with a completely different setting/style.

If you could donate to any charity, what would it be?

A Child Unheard in Uganda. Philanthropy is a great thing — as long as you realize that there is always more to be done.
